Group Programmes and Study Tours
The ELA can provide short courses and study tours to suit different groups. Such courses can be tailored to meet individual needs for periods ranging from two weeks or longer for groups of any size. Group programmes may either be closed groups or integrated groups, or a mixture of both.
Integrated groups are groups that may be integrated into General English classes for all or part of their time in New Zealand. Customised programmes only include members from the sending company, institute or organisation.
Customised courses are designed for students who want to improve their English language skills but who wish to have an intensive focus on a particular kind of English and more task-based activities such as cultural understanding, teaching kindergarten children or volunteering programmes.
Weekend excursions to places such as to Rotorua & Waitomo or the Bay of Islands can be included in all group programmes.
Why come as a Group?
Sending students as a group gives Universities the benefit of having a dedicated Groups Coordinator that helps organise and take care of the group. We are able to come to understand each other’s needs and work closely together for the benefit of the students. We help to coordinate with Universities all aspects of students’ experiences such as travel/transfer arrangements, accommodation, academic requirements and customised excursions. We are able to design specific customised courses in which we can focus on the specific needs of particular groups. Students in these courses are able to reflect on their experiences and learning with their peers which is a powerful learning tool. In addition, we are able to offer generous discounts to groups of 10 or more.
