Postgraduate English for Academic Purposes (PGEAP)
The Postgraduate English for Academic Purposes (PGEAP) programme (previously known as Postgraduate Direct Entry Programme - PGDEP) is a 10-week direct entry English language preparation programme to The University of Auckland for postgraduate studies. The programme combines Advanced Academic English with English for Specific Academic Purposes. Students who successfully complete the programme with the required grade are not required to take IELTS or any other similar test. This programme is suitable for students who have a conditional offer of place from The University of Auckland for postgraduate studies.
Students must have a valid IELTS test score of no more than 0.5 away from the overall band as required by the university programme and no less than 6.0 in the Writing band, unless stated otherwise by the University. The IELTS test score must be not more than 12 months old from the course commencement date.
