Weekly social activities at the ELA
ELA students are encouraged to join the weekly social activities and special events, organised by our Activities Coordinator. These are a great chance to practice English and meet other students outside class hours. The activities are weather dependent and vary by time of year but can include BBQs, football games, zoo trips, indoor rock climbing, horse riding and even bungee jumping! The activities are advertised each week on the Activities Noticeboard (Level 5) and our Facebook page or ELA Student Activities Facebook group.
We also work closely with local tour companies who offer students a wide range of weekend activities and sightseeing options around New Zealand.
"Hi, my name is Freddy! Please say hi and let me know which activities you would like to do while at the ELA! I look forward to meeting you"
- Freddy Carr, Activities Coordinator
Joining a club during your studies at the ELA is a great opportunity for you to practise your English with other native speakers. The ELA has clubs related to English for students to join at the Study Centre. Outside of English, ELA students can also join any of the 200 clubs at the University of Auckland ranging from sports, arts, culture and many more. For more information or to find a club, visit HERE
