Update: 13 October 2020
New Zealand is now back at Alert Level 1 which means the ELA is fully operational and staff and students can return to the building.
Border restrictions remain in place, and we will continue to provide online lessons and support our students overseas as we have done throughout the year.
Please note the following guidelines from the University of Auckland, which we need to follow:
o The Government has confirmed that, under Alert Level 1, physical distancing is not required, and it is no longer a requirement to wear face masks on public transport. However, please feel free to wear a face mask at the ELA if this provides you with an additional level of comfort.
o You are encouraged to keep track of where you have been by continuing to use the QR code posters for the NZ COVID Tracer App on display at the building entrance.
o Our enhanced cleaning regimes will continue under Alert Level 1 to ensure a healthy and safe environment for everyone on campus. There are hand sanitiser stations around the ELA and disinfectant spray packs in teaching spaces for student and staff use. Please continue to practise good hand hygiene, stay home if you are unwell, and if you have cold and flu symptoms contact your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice.
If you have further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org Further updates will be provided via Canvas for ELA students.
