Our test centre at the ELA is now offering computer-delivered IELTS tests, which you can book online here. Computer-delivered testing will be available from 21 March 2019, and we will be testing 4 times a week.
The listening, reading and writing tests will be taken on a computer, with the speaking test still conducted face-to-face with a certified and experienced IELTS examiner. Both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training will be offered in each testing session.
Why take a computer-delivered IELTS test at the ELA?
• More test dates available - we will be testing 4 times a week
• Choose a time convenient to you - both weekday and weekend options available
• Receive your results in 5 to 7 days
• All parts of the test completed in one day
• Speaking test face-to-face with a certified examiner
Since computer-delivered IELTS was introduced in Australia in 2017, test takers have praised the new option, with the other centres consistently receiving 5-star ratings on Google. Michael James, Director IELTS Operations for New Zealand, said “the new test experience puts test takers first by offering more test sessions a week and results within 5-7 days, while still maintaining the trust, integrity and security that is relied upon by the organisations who accept the results.” Hannah Melhuish, our IELTS Test Centre Manager, said, “it is natural to feel nervous before taking any high-stakes test. We focused on making test takers feel relaxed and supported so they can perform at their best. Test takers in Auckland are invited to view the space and speak to our team to explore the options available.”
