We're so proud of EPPS graduate Xin Yi Wang on being awarded the University of Auckland International Student Scholarship! She is now studying towards a Masters in Commerce and shares a snippet of her journey below.
"My name is Xin Yi Wang and I come from China. I studied the EPPS at ELA and now I’m studying towards a Masters of Commerce majoring in Finance. The EPPS programme was very extensive and I had really good teachers. I learnt about a range of writing styles and how to make my arguments more logical. Compared to China, they only teach on the IELTS exam so you don’t learn how to write essays or research. It was very useful for my Master’s programme as in Commerce, you have a lot of written assignments. Although it was very intensive, it prepared me well. With the scholarship, I was really focused on getting one after completing my studies at ELA. Important tips for future student applicants would be to have the confidence to apply, make sure you have a good reference and don’t forget the deadline! ELA is really good, and the friends you make at ELA become your best friends! I love ELA!"
